Coming to a
project where I had to create a blog related to my field, I confronted the
assignment in an inspiring way rather than exhausting. For some people,
creating a blog particularly about their field isn’t as exciting as it sounds,
but when it comes to an interior designer, it sounds very appealing because of
the many possibilities to communicate with the public about the work and also
to connect with the people which we would say, are the future of the field. From
this, I believe the knowledge about the field you are in should be received in
different ways, not only by reading a simple article/book or even just sit in a
lecture and listen. Communicating and experiencing those concepts are very
important when it comes to interior design, if working together, lead to the
path of success.
My goal when writing the paper
was to understand and learn how interior designers really work. When looking
for information, I noticed that many of them had already turned into the idea
of sharing their knowledge through blogs, which I thought was very interesting.
This way, the concepts are described in a certain way, where examples will be
showed and the terms will still be there for learning and connecting to other
professionals. In case of any additional information needed, the person only
needs to get in contact with the person who owns the blog and ask. Interior
designers normally use e-mail as a network connection as well as other ones. I
believe, after seeing all of these articles and blogs and even scholarly
articles, the more simple and arranged you are, more audience you will
have.
Some people believe that if
you work hard in school, college and become this “book-smart” person you will
be successful at the end. Well of course all of us need to work hard, but
rather than being “book-smart”, be experienced. I think even communicating with
someone in your field is very important, because you gain the knowledge of
knowing how your profession’s professionals transmit either their knowledge or
even just having a conversation. I think what is the most important to have in
life when coming up with a problem, is solving them. Being “book-smart” won’t
do it unless you know how to put it in practice; therefore an experienced
person now a days is a more wanted one, because it shows not only their capacity
to put their knowledge in practice but in a way, they had to go through
communication, or if so, gained communication skills throughout the process.
